This course ist concerned with the basic principles of statistical analysis that are widely used in practice. It covers the basic concepts of descriptive statistics, probabilities, random variables, distribution theory, comparing groups, linear and non-linear regression, including logistic and Poisson regression, and specialized topics, including analysis of time-to-event data, and Cox proportional hazards regression. The course examines both the practical applicatons of the statistical techniques presented as well as the theory supporting the methods
